How it works

QuikSpot is an on-demand parking platform that incorporates crowdsourcing to assist park-sharing within our community of users. QuikSpot is absolutely free* to join and use the app to find street parking, referred to as public parking. We encourage our users to save their public parking spots and give them away by offering them up through our app.

Offering your spot simply requires you to save the address of your spot and set a timer, indicating how long you're willing to wait** to hand-off your spot to another QuikSpot member. After submitting that information, we immediately broadcast your spots availability to nearby drivers, who can then request your spot and optionally offer you tips. You may then accept offers, as many as you like and upon confirmation, we send the driver your way to claim the spot. Once the hand-off is complete, you will be provided any subsequent tips.

Due to the volatility of public parking, you will only be able to see public spots in your vicinity. Optionally, you can enable push notifications to allow QuikSpot to alert you whenever nearby parking is available, saving you time.

QuikSpot does require a payment method on file and/or a bank account (if you intend to earn money via tips). Payment methods are only charged if you offer a tip and claim another members spot.

Waiting for your fellow member is optional, you can depart the spot at any time or extend your wait time. However, you will forfeit any offered tips by not waiting to hand-off the spot.

To give away street parking...

Save the location of your spot on our app.

When you’re ready to leave your spot, enter how long you’re willing to wait to give up your spot to a fellow driver.

We’ll broadcast your spot to nearby drivers. Wait for requests to come in....with tips preferably :)

Click & accept requests from nearby drivers, and follow the prompts.

To redeem any tip, you will be prompted to enter the accepted driver’s license plate to confirm the hand-off.

To find street parking...

Press & hold anywhere near you on the map. Public spots will appear denoted by yellow circles.

Follow the prompts, optionally add a tip for your spot holder and submit your request. You’re only charged the tip if you get the spot.

Wait for your request to be accepted by the spot holder, you will then be provided the exact location of the spot.

Make your way there and claim your spot. Be sure to give up your spot when you leave for your chance to earn $$$.

We understand your time is precious and that's why we optimize by ensuring we instantly make your spots availability known to the dozens of drivers around you looking for your spot. We also ensure these users are in your vicinity to prevent long wait-time, see where they are as well as their ETA to you. We encourage users to set their wait time while they wait for their car to warm up, allowing ample time for a hand-off.

No spots available around you?

Unfortunately, public parking availability is almost impossible to anticipate. There will be times when no street parking may be available around you. Fortunately, we do have other options for you. You can take advantage of our private parking option by renting from a local private parking host or through one of our commercial lot partners.

Details about your vehicle, car make, model, year, color, plates. This public information is used to verify you by other members.

A payment method (credit card), to charge you for any tips you offer.

And / Or a bank account to claim any tip earnings.
